"I am only one, but still I am one.
I cannot do everything, but still I can do something;
and because I cannot do everything,
I will not refuse to do trhe something that I can do"
Edward Everett Hale
The Fayette County is a non-profit (501(c)3), volunteer organization. We receive less than 2% of our support from governmental organizations and therefore must rely on donations, grants and fundraising to carry out our mission. The Humane Society of the United States is a private organization, not
affiliated with local Humane Societies (including us), and does not support us monitarily. The Humane Society is the only organization in Fayette County able to respond to calls about abused, neglected and injured domestic animals, 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
We do not have a shelter and must depend on foster homes in order to care for pets in the adoption program who are waiting for their forever homes.

Become a Foster Parent
You can help an unwanted, homeless animal become a loving pet by fostering them in your home until they can be placed in forever homes. We will health check the pet, vaccinate against infectious diseases, and help you with a cage or house, food, and anything else you may need. All you add is your time and love. Most fosters will stay with you for 2-6 weeks. Help us to find homes for more animals by providing a temporary home until they can be placed.
if you can help.
